The Tar Bar is a throwback to the good ole’ days of simple, clean, all natural, luxurious soaps. For centuries pine tar has provided relief for a variety of skin problems including: eczema, psoriasis, irritation, itchiness and dryness.

Our all-natural pine tar bars are made with the finest ingredients including: pine tar, olive oil, organic coconut oil, castor oil, sweet almond oil, demineralized water and colloidal oatmeal. The range of oils used are carefully chosen for their balancing, cleansing and moisturizing properties and do not strip the skin of their natural oils.

Pine tar is made from pine tree resin which has a wonderful and distinctive piney/woodsy and smoky scent and offers natural antibacterial, antifungal, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. Unlike commercial soaps, our pine tar soaps are made with real pine tar and contains:

No artificial fragrances, colorants or scented/perfume oils
No sulphates or phthalates that could irritate or dry out the skin
No petroleum or mineral oils
No added detergents, surfactants or foaming agents
No artificial chemicals or creosote

Make it last: Like all good things, take care of it and it will last longer. To make your soap last, store it in a dry, ventilated area, keep it away from direct streams of water, allow it to dry between uses, use a slotted soap dish that drains and do not allow your delicate handcrafted soap to sit in water. Handmade soaps contain glycerin, a natural humectant (i.e. it attracts moisture). Creating an ideal environment for your soaps will make it last longer and remain firm.
